We sell replacement mounts to use Olympus OM lenses on Pentax cameras.


Welcome to Leitax, this is our Olympus-OM to Pentax-K page. After several requests from Pentax users, we can offer now this new replacement bayonet to use OM-system Olympus Zuiko lenses on Pentax bodies.

-This conversion is fully reversible and will not damage either the lens or the camera. 
-The Olympus-OM lenses will focus to infinity and will maintain the aperture click stops
-The Pentax cameras will show a  focus confirmation light in the viewfinder.

- One of the holes at the bayonet coincides with the positioning slot, therefore, the spring loaded pin at the camera will work, but the lens can be moved half millimeter to the right or to the left if you force it. This is not a problem when taking pictures, the focus and aperture rings operation will not move the lens.

At this moment, we can offer a limited quantity of instructions. I think the lenses not included in the instructions will have no problem to use our Zuiko-Pentax mount, but I cannot be sure yet.

Caution!    The Zuiko-OM 50/1.8 , 28/2.8 and 40/2.0  cannot use our standard OM Zuiko-Pentax Bayonet. I'm working on a special mount for these lenses.

Caution! The Zuiko-OM 135/3.5 can use the standard Leitax mount only together with a special spacer and longer screws.

Olympus 50/1.2 on Pentax , no adapter
I have the K20D, but I think the settings are similar on other models: in the Custom Setting menu, go to "Using aperture ring" and set "permitted". This way, your camera will work and meter in Av mode with adapted lenses.

For my calculations, all the lenses checked in my instructions will not hit the mirror of a Pentax camera.

The orange mark at our Leitax mount is the exact scale center of the Zuiko-OM lenses. And it can be used as a rough guide to mount  the lenses on Pentax cameras, as it is very near of the red dot position.

With certain models, we'll have to manipulate inside the lens, it's not a good place for something metallic. With this plastic tool I don't make any scratches in the Zuiko lenses. 		3 Euro

I use this model for the Phillips screws in the Olympus OM lenses, it is industrial grade quality made by Irazola, and the design is very good, you can push and turn it firmly with the rotary end and the rubber finish.
