|  | This is the Leica-R Vario-Elmar 35-70/3.5 3 cams lens. Thanks to our client and friend Massimiliano, we all can share this conversion instructions. | 
|  | The bayonet side..... as you can see, it is a 3-cams lens. | 
|  | First, unscrew the black shroud and remove it (it's made of plastic so there isn't any risk of scratching something). Then remove the bayonet. | 
|  | Next remove the cams | 
|  | The cams and the shroud removed. In fact, there is no need to remove the black R-cam and its spacers. | 
|  | Remove the screw , the spring and the aperture lever. | 
|  | The aperture lever support will touch the bayonet | 
|  | The solution is to shave the bayonet part that touches the aperture lever with a small and round file. | 
|  | When the aperture lever moves free from obstacles we can install the bayonet. The red dot goes near the scale center. | 
|  | The conversion work is finally done |
