Leica-R
to Arri-LPL mount instructions
|
|
I will use this Apo-Summicron 90/2 for the instructions.
|
|
This lens has 6 screws at the original mount. To avoid accidentally displace the mount, you can skip removing the one at the inferior side of the lens, signaled with the arrow . |
|
Most
of the Leica-R lenses with 10 screws at the mount will use these 6
positions anyway for the conversion. Here there is no risk to remove
all 6 screws. Except the: - Vario-Elmar 21-35/3.5-4.0 ASPH - Vario-Elmarit 28-90/2.8-4.5 ASPH that will use the alternative four positions.
This
is what you receive from Leitax. Our mount has extra holes to work on all Leica-R models. |
|
Now we remove the 5 screws ( or 6 if you wish, but be careful and don't displace the mount accidentally).
And install the steel plate on top of the original mount.
The lonely holes of the Leitax plate are at the top and bottom positions.
And we can screw the included steel fasteners.
And now the black centering ring, its holes have to coincide with the threaded holes of the steel plate.
See how convenient is to have the screwdriver magnetized. Just rub a magnet on it. |
|
Time to put the black screws to secure this ring.
Done. | |
And now this lens can be used on the Arri full frame cameras.
